Types of wound care we provide
Chronic and nonhealing wounds can result from a number of factors, including diabetes, poor circulation, trauma, vascular disease and immobility.
Our wound specialists can care for a wide range of wounds, including:
- Diabetes wounds, including diabetic foot ulcers.
- Pressure ulcers (bed sores).
- Trauma wounds.
We use innovative advancements, such as hyperbaric oxygen therapy, to help you heal. This is an effective treatment in which you breathe pure oxygen inside a pressurized hyperbaric chamber.
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy delivers high concentrations of oxygen to your bloodstream, which helps increase your body's natural wound-healing abilities. It also helps fight certain types of infections, improves circulation, and stimulates the growth of new blood vessels.
Hyperbaric wound care therapy is administered daily. The number of treatments you receive depends on your wound care plan and diagnosis.
In addition to hyperbaric oxygen therapy, other wound treatments we offer include negative pressure, bioengineered tissues, and biosynthetic dressings.
