Visiting Hours and Information for Family and Friends

Visitor passes must be obtained at the Visitor Information Desk located near the main entrance. Visiting hours for General Nursing Units (Medical/Surgical) 10:00 a.m. until 8:30 p.m.  

For Special Care Areas

  • Critical Care Areas (Intensive Care Unit - ICU, Coronary Intensive Care Unit - CICU, Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit -  CVICU)  Standard visitation times are posted at the entrances to these high-level units. Visitation is coordinated with the nurses using the standard posted visitation times and in consideration of the patient’s needs. Due to the critical status of the patients on these units, children under the age of 14 will not be allowed unless coordinated with the health care provider and the patient.  
  • Cardiovascular Intermediate Care (CVIMC) 2 Intermediate Care (2IMC) 3 Intermediate Care (3IMC) 10:00 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.  
  • Crossroads Adult Mental Health Monday - Friday 6:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday: 2:00 p.m - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.  
  • Labor and Delivery and Nursery Visitation is limited and coordinated by the Labor and Delivery staff, Nursery staff and the patient in response to patient needs. Post-partum, fathers, siblings and grandparents only may visit while the infant is in the room. All others must obtain a pass at the visitor information desk. 
  • No Smoking  

    CarolinaEast Health System is a smoke-free campus. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the medical center campus or any medical center owned property, including CarolinaEast Diagnostic Center, CarolinaEast Surgery Center and CarolinaEast Physician offices.  

No Weapons

Weapons may not be brought into CarolinaEast Medical Center or any CarolinaEast facilities or offices.  Only law enforcement personnel with statutory law enforcement authority are permitted to carry weapons on CarolinaEast property or in CarolinaEast facilities.
