Welcome Message

 Welcome to CarolinaEast Health System

On behalf of our employee team, medical staff and the many volunteers of CarolinaEast Health System, I want to welcome you to our website. I understand how challenging making the best health care choices for you and your family can be and we thank you for choosing CarolinaEast.

CarolinaEast Medical Center, the flagship of CarolinaEast Health System, is a fully accredited 350-bed acute care facility serving the growing coastal North Carolina region. Our progressive and visionary medical staff of more than 230 physicians representing nearly all medical specialties prescribe the quality care we deliver. Our doctors are supported by over 2100 medical and ancillary personnel dedicated to your good health.

CarolinaEast Surgery Center and CarolinaEast Diagnostic Center, located in New Bern's McCarthy Square, are the region's premier outpatient service providers. CarolinaEast Primary Care in Vanceboro delivers exceptional primary care to the residents of Western Craven County. Physician practices that are proud to be a part of the CarolinaEast family of services include CarolinaEast Heart Center, CarolinaEast Urology Center, CarolinaEast Internal Medicine, CarolinaEast Pediatrics and CarolinaEast Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery. These physicians and their staff care for a growing number of patients from offices in New Bern and six other cities in coastal North Carolina. CarolinaEast Rehabilitation Hospital has helped thousands of your neighbors to regain independence following illness or injury.

We are proud to be a part of the Coastal Carolina community and the role we have played in its growth over the past four decades.  It’s an exciting time for CarolinaEast Health System and our entire region. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your lives and trusting us with your most precioius possession - your good health.
