Our Education Department is an AHEC (Area Health Education Center) location for Eastern NC. As new employees begin their career here at CarolinaEast, the Education Department gets them off on the right foot with Organizational Orientation and Here to Serve - but they don’t stop there! The Education Department works closely with Clinical Managers and Preceptors to provide an excellent clinical experience for Students, Externs and New Grad RN’s. For our experienced clinical employees, they provide opportunities such as CPR, ACLS & PALS certifications and re-certifications; Precepting Skills; Advanced Fetal Monitoring; and Advance Stroke Life Support – just to name a few. Many of these courses are offered to employees at no cost to them!
